 Feeler for VT car show
802Subaru is considering running a car show, open to all makes & models for anyone in the surrounding areas.
We're in the beginning phase of this plan and we're looking for input on how many people may be interested in showing up, what locations work best in VT for people, and what you'd like to see at the show as far as potential vendors, events, activities.
Feel free to start shouting some ideas!

Re: Feeler for VT car show
I'd totally be there and could drag a few (non-subaru) friends from the St. Jay area to go.
Burlington seems the smartest, and works for me (even being 2 hours away)
Vendors possibly like new dealers, doing test drives of new Subarus (or w/e brand), of course tuning and parts is always lovely.
Maybe a portable dyno? I've been to diesel truck shows and they had one, it was a crowd favorite. Bikini car wash is always nice. The Army National guard i've seen has their rock walls and electronic shooting tent that would be good for kids. If the space was large enough, have auto x course and maybe a short drag. Have like a comp for the lowest car, highest car, most powerfull, crowd favorite, most expensive, oldest etc. Have local vendors donate items for raffles, have food onsite for sale. Thats all I can think of, I think it'd be an awesome time. Hopefully draw a few thousand people with good advertising.

Thanks for the input! We love to hear comments from everyone, and look to shape the show as it gets planned based on what people want.

Re: Feeler for VT car show
We're aiming at VTC in Randolph or potentially Brattleboro Subaru.

Re: Feeler for VT car show
Not to make a zombie thread but here's what I put on your thread on SF.org a while back: "VTC would be a good bet for space, not a lot going on down in Randolph and you could probably bribe some of the farmers to let their fields be used for some good off-road romps. Say you're helping them get ready for the upcoming season, tilling the soil . Also having companies sponsor/throw some goodies into the even would be good. Since you guys are sponsored by Xcceleration I'm sure they would be happy to spread their name. Maybe also get some local garages/mechanics to sponsor? Like Joey Kale of Kale's Customs, he does a lot of Subaru work but I've heard he is great for all-around custom work. There's also a rumor floating around on Nasioc that he is either getting or will have a hook up on a 4WD dyno sometime soon. Pricing looks like about $150/hr or something along those lines, according to that thread. Starting towards the bottom of page 1 --> http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...t=kales+custom"

Re: Feeler for VT car show
I fully support VTC in Randolph! There are quite a few modded cars on that campus to begin with...which are pretty much the only modded cars I've seen in VT.
