NEW FOR 2014
When Subaru redesigned this car, the took all the previous customer feedback from the previous generation and applied it when they did their redesigns for this model. This car's efficiency has gone from 27 miles per gallon on the highway up to 32 MPG on the highway. It is a phenomenal increase that's been really paying off for the new Forester!
Subaru updated the Forester's styling with a contemporary look, and the cargo space in the Forester has also been increased to a maximum of 75 cubic feet with the rear seats down. An incredible capacity in the rear cargo area. Safety has also been enhanced with almost 40 additional pounds of steel built into the car's ring-shaped reinforcement frame.
And then, a great addition and first time ever on a Subaru: a power lift gate! Incredible changes for this car. In addition to the power rear lift gate something that Subaru's done to make your shopping experience and cargo carrying easier is the addition of folding seat backs from the rear of the car. All you need to do is push this button, and the seats fold right down, so you can put your cargo in easily.
INSIDE THE NEW FORESTER
This is the interior of the 2014 Subaru Forester, I wanna show you a couple things inside here. The seating position on the Forester is very high. I have a lot of visibility looking out of the car through the side windows, the partition glass, and the windshield. Even the back windshield's very large, I have a great viewpoint here.
One of the Forester's trademarks is this giant panoramic moonroof. It is absolutely enormous, goes from the front of the passenger's & driver's seats all the way into the back. Gives you a ton of ambient light, even if you never have it open just the ambient light in the winter, a lot of people love that!
The Forester also has a 10-way power driver's seat with lumbar support that's electronic, a Harmon Kardon audio system with the navigation, the x-mode enhanced all wheel drive and some additional audio and technology features. You have an iPod and USB plug in here in the center console.
The steering wheel here you have cruise control, your audio buttons, and the Bluetooth right here, your automatic headlights and the wiper controls behind it and then you have a tilt and telescoping feature here. So, I can get that steering wheel adjusted here and you know what, I want that a little closer to me. Perfect. Lock it in!
And then while backing up, along with your information display up here, you have a back up camera that will appear right here. Great for identifying a bicycle that your kids may have left behind the car, or a fire hydrant, something that you can't see out of the window. Really nice convenience feature!
TRIM LEVELS & OPTIONS
So the 2014 Subaru Forester comes in 4 different trim levels. [6 if you count the Turbo package]
2.5i
You have your basic trim - standard power equipment, not a lot of frills.
Premium
The premium is one step up from that - gives you some of the convenience features, like a rear-vision camera, the moonroof, and a power seat.
Limited
The Limited is another step up, which gives you leather seats and you get the automatic climate control.
Touring
The Touring is the top of the line. Gives you the navigation, the Harmon Kardon audio system. You can even get the EyeSight technology package with that, which is Subaru's pre-collision, braking and driving assist along with adaptive cruise control. Amazing package!

COLORS
The Forester has 8 colors to choose from. You have a number of different lighter shades and darker shades, matched with light or dark interiors - cloth or leather. The two exclusive colors the Forester has are the Jasmine Green Metallic, which we're sitting in, as well as the Burnished Bronze Metallic, a very popular new color!
