What is the Difference Between Hybrid & EVs?

Trying to decide between a hybrid and an all-electric vehicle? We're here to help break it down.

Hybrid vehicles combine a traditional gas engine with electric motors to boost fuel efficiency and performance. The electric motor works alongside the engine to reduce fuel consumption, especially at lower speeds or during stop-and-go driving. You don't need to plug in a hybrid, they recharge their batteries automatically through regenerative braking and the engine itself. Hybrids are a great option if you want improved mileage and lower emissions without changing your driving routine.
Electric vehicles (EVs), on the other hand, run entirely on electric power. There's no gas engine at all, which means zero tailpipe emissions and a quieter, smoother ride. EVs need to be plugged in to recharge, but with the growing network of fast-charging stations, powering up is more convenient than ever. If you're ready for a fully electric lifestyle and want to eliminate gas stops altogether, an EV is a smart, sustainable choice.
Both options offer advanced technology, a lower environmental impact, and the confidence of Subaru safety and reliability. The right choice comes down to your lifestyle, driving habits, and how you want to power your journey.
