What's New for the 2026 Subaru Ascent?
Subaru has made several changes to the Ascent for the 2026 model year. First, the trim lineup has been condensed, with the Onyx Edition trim having been eliminated. Black wheels and exterior trim now come standard, starting with the base Premium trim. The Ascent Premium also gains standard water-resistant synthetic leather upholstery. The Touring trim now gets stylish wood interior accents. Finally, the new Sapphire Blue Pearl paint color replaces Cosmic Blue Pearl.
Performance
The 2026 Subaru Ascent is powered by a robust 2.4-liter turbocharged Subaru Boxer® four-cylinder engine that generates 260 horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque. Paired with a Lineartronic CVT featuring an eight-speed manual mode, this powertrain provides strong acceleration and smooth, efficient operation. Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive comes standard for superior traction and control in a variety of driving conditions you may encounter around Waterbury, VT.
