This Spring, provide trees to make your community greener and healthier.

Each year, the United States loses 36 million trees due to age, disease, infestation, and extreme weather. Trees are vital to the health of our communities. They clean our air, filter water, provide shade that can lower temperatures by up to 10 degrees, and help prevent flooding and storm damage. Losing trees means losing critical benefits for both people and the planet.

In April 2026, Subaru and its retailers will continue our partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation, the world’s largest nonprofit dedicated to planting trees where they are needed most. Together, we will distribute established, native trees to people in our community to help restore local tree canopies and improve the environment in the areas we serve.

This is more than an environmental initiative. It is also a relationship-building opportunity. Tree distribution events bring customers, neighbors, and community members into your store for a purpose that is meaningful and lasting. These interactions are about sharing a commitment to protecting our environment together and supporting the places we call home.



2026 Program Enhancements






Please note: This is a tree distribution event, not a planting event. Retailers will distribute trees to customers and community members who pre-register to receive one. Participants are responsible for planting their trees on their own property. Reservations are managed through the Community Tree Distributor tool, supported by the Arbor Day Foundation and accessible by your team. Your store will receive a unique URL linked to this tool, which you can share with customers via Care Connect emails or send out directly. A local planting partner is not required for this activation.

As a reminder, Love Promise activation costs will be automatically submitted for SAF reimbursement. Newas of 2024, Love Promise activation costs will pay from available Love Promise Funds. Should Love Promise Funds be exhausted, claims will pay from Flex or, if Flex is exhausted, available New Car Funds.
