Subaru understands that is has a great responsibility to the environment. Clean vehicles are just one part of it!

The Subaru Manufacturing Process

At Subaru, all of our vehicles are built in zero-landfill plants, which means that all waste is recycled or turned into electricity. Since 2004, our manufacturing plants have not sent any waste to landfills, because we protect what we enjoy.

We try not to waste a thing. Even waste. That's why Subaru builds each one of our models with the highest standards of manufacturing and continue to find innovative means of building responsible vehicles using an environmentally-friendly plant process.

Efficiency & Durability

Subaru vehicles last a long time. That's why 96% of Subaru vehicles sold in the last 10 years  are still on the road today.

Cleaner Emissions

Our PZEV ratings mean near zero emissions. We love nature, so we take extra steps to preserve it by building vehicles that produce lower emissions. Subaru Partial Zero Emissions Vehicles, like the all-new 2014 Forester shown below, help protect the environment by reducing smog-forming emissions to nearly zero.
